The exhibition Beyond the Lens delves into the possibilities of camera- and lens-based art. This collection showcases a diverse array of works ranging from traditional photography and video to cutting-edge digital and analog creations, mixed media, and experimental pieces. By pushing the boundaries of what we perceive as photography, the exhibition re-imagines this traditionally static medium within the dynamic context of contemporary and modern art. Whether it’s the complete abandonment of the lens or camera itself, or the manipulation of film negatives, photo paper or digital files into a new medium, visitors will be immersed in innovative and interactive installations, inviting them to engage with the works in new ways.
The participating artists are a collective of photographers and visual artists who meet regularly under the name The Art Circle. Their aim is to explore photography and other mediums together in an informal setting, fostering creativity and collaboration.
