For years, Sechshauser Street was known as Vienna’s red-light district, where there was one brothel after another.

Nowadays there is not much left of that. Nonetheless the neighbourhood of Sechshaus in the 15th district hasn’t lost any of its charm. And exactly that was what the photographers Alessandra Ljuboje and Bastian Reinprecht set out to capture with their cameras. They went out to portray the essence of this forgotten and nefarious part of Viennese history in a modern context, while still staying true to the classic style of black-and-white street and documentary photography.
